Bachelor’s degree in Energy and Building Technology, specializing in Building Envelopes m/f/d

The program:

Prospective students apply for the Energy and Building Technology program at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, study there for two semesters, and can take specific courses in the Building Envelope specialization starting in the third semester. The program with in-depth practical experience offers the opportunity to gain extensive professional experience in specified practical phases. During lecture-free periods and in the practical semester, students work for remuneration in a selected partner company. This means that they complete at least 50% more practical phases than in a regular program without extending the regular duration of 3.5 years. At the end of the program, the bachelor’s thesis is written in collaboration with the partner company, if possible, so that dual students can supplement their practical experience with theory. The standard period of study is 7 semesters, including a practical semester. The program requires 10 weeks of prior practical experience.

The training:

During your training, you will learn about the various materials used for metal roofs and facades, gutters, downspouts, and much more. You will learn different metalworking methods: welding, folding, profiling, edging, forming, and how to use CNC-controlled machines. You will learn a lot about the production of workpieces in the workshop and how to assemble them on the construction site. The training program to become a metal roof and facade designer is dual and lasts three and a half years (standard training period).
